Although Canyon Park itself was opened in 1911, the Cabin was renovated in 1997. Its amenities include a warm, rustic ambiance. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave and sink. Cooking may be done outdoors on the Cabin's barbecues. Catering services are available.
The Cabin has 1400 square feet available for a variety of activities ranging from management retreats to family reunions and small weddings (50 guests). A wood burning fireplace, 10 (6') tables and 50 chairs, private picnic area, and a large deck allow you to meet with friends or business associates in a relaxing atmosphere.
Three trail heads lead to the year-round Monrovia Falls. Starting from the Entrance Station parking lot the hiking trip distance is 1 3/4 miles, affording excellent views of the Sawpit Dam. The center parking level provides for a 1-mile trip. From the back of the picnic area at the Nature Center the trip distance is only 3/4 mile.
