MONROVIA TRANSIT (DIAL-A-RIDE)

Overview

Welcome to the Monrovia Transit (Dial-a-Ride) page! Monrovia Transit provides an alterative mode of public transportation, which does not follow fixed routes or schedules. Similar to a taxi or airport shuttle service, customers are asked to phone a call center and make a reservation in advance. However, because Transit is a shared ride service, riders should be prepared for the vehicle to make additional passenger pick ups and drop offs before they reach their final destination.

The typical response time of a Transit vehicle during non-peak hours is 30 to 45 minutes. However, during peak hours (8:00 to 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.) response time will usually take longer. As a result, it’s recommended that customers call at least two hours prior to their desired pick up or drop off time. Riders are able to make reservations up to one week in advance.

Standing reservation service is another tool available to Transit customers. This service allows riders to schedule reoccurring pick ups without having to contact the call center each time. However, passengers need to contact the call center at (626) 358-3538 to modify or cancel a trip if their schedule changes.
