Welcome to the Planning Division webpage! This page offers an overview of the Planning Division and serves as a gateway to access related information.
Overview The Planning Division is part of the Community Development Department. Planning plays a very important role in achieving the City’s goals and objectives related to the physical development of Monrovia. The Division’s responsibility falls into five broad categories: Current planning; long-range planning; historic preservation; transportation, and air quality.
Planning Division Staff assist residents, property owners, realtors, and architects in understanding and applying the City’s zoning and subdivision ordinances. In addition, Staff supports the City Council, Planning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, and Development Review Committee.
