altMonrovia Canyon Park
1200 N. Canyon Blvd. (80 acres; 22 acres developed). Parks Hours are M-W-Th-Fr-Sat-Sun from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. The park is closed on Tuesdays. The Ben Overturff Trail is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Facilities include Nature Center, Cabin Conference Facility for rent, hiking trails, barbecues, picnic tables, drinking fountains and restrooms.

Come and enjoy a wilderness experience only five minutes from downtown Monrovia. This refreshing recreational site provides a peaceful and quiet setting for your family, social or business gatherings. Let your imagination and your appreciation for nature be revitalized as you explore the 80 acres of trails and serene picnic areas.

620 South Shamrock Ave. at Lemon Ave. (22 acres) Facilities include barbecues, picnic tables and shelter, drinking fountains, ADA approved playground equipment, restrooms, baseball field, tennis courts, hardcourt (basketball, roller hockey and skateboarding), sand volleyball court.

321 South Myrtle Ave. at Lime Ave. (5.7 acres) Facilities include band shell, picnic tables, ADA approved drinking fountains and playground equipment.

altGrand Avenue Park
340 North Grand Ave. at Prospect Ave. (3.5 acres) Facilities include picnic tables, drinking fountains, ADA approved playground equipment.

 

altJulian Fisher Park
915 South California Ave. at Almond Ave. (1.8 acres) Facilities include picnic tables and shelter, ADA approved drinking fountains and playground equipment.

 

altLucinda Garcia Park (formerly Olive Avenue Park)
502 West Olive Ave. at Mayflower Ave. (1.5 acres) Facilities include picnic tables and shelter, drinking fountains, ADA approved playground equipment.

401 South California Ave. at Lime Ave. (.87 acres)
Facilities include picnic tables, drinking fountains, ADA approved equipment.


WILDERNESS PRESERVE

On Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 the Wilderness Preserve Environmental Impact Report and Resource Management Plan and was brought before the City Council.  The Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is available for review.  Click here (final) for the official notice and final documents.  The original Draft documents from August 3rd are also available and can be found here (draft).
